Man United: Solskjaer drops Lukaku from trip squad to Norway


Ole named United squad to Norway

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has dropped wantaway striker Romelu Lukaku as he named a 26-man travelling squad to Norway ahead of their friendly with Kristiansund.

United flew out to Oslo on Monday morning with the Inter bound striker left out of the 26-man travelling party for Tuesday’s friendly with Kristiansund.

Paul Pogba led the United squad flying from Manchester Airport, however, the £75m striker was on United’s pre-season tour of Australia and the Far East, but is yet to feature for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men.

According to the report, the Belgian international is keen to move to Italy to join Inter Milan.

It is likely there will be plenty of substitutions at the Ullevaal Stadium as game-time and fitness remains extremely important at this stage.

The travelling squad members are; David De Gea, Lee Grant, Joel Pereira, Sergio Romero; Diogo Dalot, Phil Jones, Victor Lindelof, Marcos Rojo, Luke Shaw, Chris Smalling, Axel Tuanzebe, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Ashley Young; Fred, Angel Gomes, Daniel James, Jesse Lingard, Juan Mata, Nemanja Matic, Scott McTominay, Andreas Pereira, Paul Pogba; Tahith Chong, Mason Greenwood, Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford.
