Barcelona planning a shock swoop for Man United star, Darmian 


Matteo DarmianFC Barcelona are considering moving to sign Matteo Darmian from Manchester United this summer, Mundo Deportivo report.

The right-back has fallen down the pecking order at Old Trafford following the arrival of Aaron Wan-Bissaka, while Luke Shaw has nailed down the spot on the left flank.

And the Spanish publication ,Mundo Deportivo,reports Barcelona are monitoring Darmian’s situation as they eye an eventual replacement for Jordi Alba on the left.

The Catalan giants’ first choices are Real Betis’ Junior Firpo and Bayern Munich’s David Alaba but the pair would both cost a significant transfer fee.

Eric Abidal and his assistant, Ramon Planes have other alternatives, which include Darmian and Philipp Max of Augsburg according to Mundo Deportivo.

The report also claims that Barcelona have received good reports about the Italy international, who can play on both flanks.
