Manchester United failing to sign Harry Maguire will hold up a deal for Sporting midfielder Bruno Fernandes, reports says.
Fernandes broke down in tears at the end of Sporting’s 2-1 friendly defeat to Valencia on Sunday and many outlets described it as a ‘hint’ he is already made for Old Trafford.
An earlier reports by A Bola had claimed that the Red devils are ‘preparing’ an offer of €72m with a further €5m in add-ons, as well as a five-year contract worth €30m.
Sport Witness on Wednesday revealed that ‘Manchester United are on the horizon’ but Sporting are yet to receive an official offer for the Portugal international.
The media outlet added that the Premier League Club’s struggles to agree a deal for Leicester defender Maguire ‘is thought to have stalled things’ in the Fernandes deal while their chase of Paulo Dybala lingers.
From Daily Telegraph, Leicester will only let man go if they receive at least £85m but claims that United are still far way from making any progress.
Meanwhile, Dybala has began talks over a switch to Old Trafford demaning a whooping £350000 per-week in a swap deal which will see Belgium international Romelu Lukaku join Juventus.
