Latest report by Bild+ shortly after Bayern Munich’s 2-2 penalty shootout loss to Tottenham in the Audi Cup, claims the Bundelisga champions have officially submitted an offer to Manchester City for Leroy Sane.
It’s a first time an official offer has been reported on from either party in correlation with potential transfer.
This came just over 24 hours after CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge had essentially forced an apology out of Niko Kovac to Pep Guardiola and Manchester City for saying that he felt “confident” that Bayern will sign the player.
Meanwhile, sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic had said negotiations officially began last week, despite speculation that they already had previously.
Details on the fee have not yet emerged, but if the bid is accepted, Sane could be travelling to Munich within the coming days for medical.
