Drinkwater set for Chelsea stay after failed attempt to to secure summer move


Danny Drinkwater will stay at Stamford Bridge after the English midfielder attempt to secure a summer move failed.

According to the Evening Standard, the former Leicester City star has received no ‘concrete offers’ to go elsewhere this summer and that will result in signing a new deal with the Premier League side.

He has struggled to make an impact since moving to Stamford Bridge for £35m in 2017 and Frank Lampard appears unlikely to be able to offer him regular minutes in midfield this term.
