A Catholic priest of Enugu Diocese, Reverend Fr. Paul Offu has been supposedly shot dead by unidentified shooters.
The priest was said to have been slaughtered in Awgu Local Government Area of the state around 7:30 p.m. on Thursday night.
Offu’s death is coming scarcely five months after Rev. Fr. Lenient Ugwu, the ward priest of St Mark Catholic Church, Obinofia Ndiuno in Ezeagu Local Government Area of the State was murdered.
Fr. Ugwu, who was hijacked on March 20, 2019 was discovered dead in a bramble breaking down following a one-week search by his parishioners.

Correspondence’s Director, Catholic Diocese of Enugu Reverend Fr. Benjamin Achi affirmed the appalling news to The PUNCH when reached on phone.
Fr. Achi who criticized the executing, said that subtleties of the occurrence would be made accessible to our reporter after the gathering of the priests toward the beginning of today.
