Coutinho’s agent Kia Joorabchian in response to looming speculations the Brazilian is on his way to Arsenal has ruled out his client moving to a Premier League club other than Liverpool.
Reports has surfaced the Catalans club are loaning him out as they have acquired surplus in the midfield.
But speaking on the development,Coutinho’s agent told talkSPORT it wouldn’t be fair he plays for a rival Premier League side.
“Manchester United is a great club, I have players there and I have all the respect for them, but as far as Philippe goes, it would be an extremely difficult to a near-impossible move,” Joorabchian said.
“I would be very difficult for Philippe to play for any of Liverpool’s rivals, because he has such a great affinity towards Liverpool. His time there was fantastic.
“It would be hard for him to go to a rival. Every time we’ve spoken about it we’ve had that same conversation, he would find it hard to play for another club in the Premier League.”
Barcelona’s stance on the Coutinho saga is a little different to both Arsenal’s and the Brazilian’s agent.
The Catalan club are prepared to let the midfielder go on loan to a Premier League club, talkSPORT reports.
But this means Barcelona are open to bids from the likes of Liverpool, Manchester United , Tottenham and Manchester City too.
And as Arsenal are yet to make an official approach, they are no further down the line than the above mentioned teams in securing his signature.
