Breaking! Ihedioha Appoints Kanu Nwankwo As New SSAS

Imo State Governor Emeka Ihedioha has assigned his Senior Special Assistant on Sports to Kanu Nwankwo.

This was contained in a statement on Thursday by Aic Akwarandu, special assistant to the governor on new media.

“In this new role, the Nigeria World Cup skipper will assist the Ihedioha administration on rebuilding the sports sector in Imo State”, it said.

it also be recalled that Kanu nwankwo  is a holder of the OON national title.

Kanu is a holder of the OON national title.

Born 1 August 1976, Papilo, as fondly called, founded the Kanu Heart Foundation (KHF) which has saved hundreds of lives.

Kanu played for Iwuanyanwu Nationale, Dutch side Ajax, Inter Milan of Italy, and English clubs Arsenal, West Bromwich Albion and Portsmouth.

He won a UEFA Champions League medal, a UEFA Cup medal, three FA Cup Winners Medals and two African Player of the Year awards amongst others.

The retired soccer star has won the Premier League, FA Cup, Champions League, UEFA Cup and an Olympic Gold Medal as one of few players.

Kanu is also a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador.
