Portuguese former Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho is keeping tabs on Madrid managerial job should Zinedine Zidane be sent packing.

Mourinho is hoping for a return to football management after being out of action in over eight months.

He was relieved of his job at Old Trafford in December 2018 by Manchester United following the club’s poor first round run in last season’s Premier League.

After being replaced with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, the 56-year-old manager is yet to take over the reins of any football club despite reports of some top European clubs showing interest in him in months past.

Meanwhile, the former Chelsea and Inter Milan boss at the moment,has landed himself a punditry role on Sky Sports’ Premier League show while he ‘awaits’ the right offer to arrive. According to Spanish publication AS, he is keen on replacing Zidane as the head coach of Real Madrid should the Spanish club chose an exit door  for the French manager.

The 47-year-old manager returned to Los Blancos prior to the end of last season and is currently championing a rebuild with his side still dealing with the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo.

They have new recruit in the likes of Eden Hazard, Luka Jovic, Eder Militao, Ferland Mendy and Rodrygo, Zizou but still unsatisfied with the business done by club president Florentino Perez as he expected Manchester United’s Paul Pogba to be part of this summer’s recruits.
