A document showing how the former Attorney General of the Federation, Bello Adoke signed agreement with Dubai Police Headquarters to resolve his corruption allegation has been made available.
Adoke who had already been Interpol Custody arrived Nigeria on Friday and was immediately arrested at Abuja airport for questioning by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in connection to the missing £22.5m (N6.18billion) loot of the Sani Abacha which was recovered from the Island of Jersey.
However, a document made available to newsmen revealed that Adoke on November 11, 2019 signed an agreement with Dubai Police to come to Nigeria and defend himself.
In the document, the ex-minister said,” I will go to Nigeria to solve my problem and that without pressure from Police or anyone.”
A Nigerian High Court in Abuja issued an arrest warrant for Adoke and four others on 17 April 2019 after they failed to appear in their trial linked to the Malabu Oil deal.
