Arsenal have engaged Inter Milan in talks to land Croatia international winger,Ivan Perisic.
Ivan Perisic,29 is now a January transfer target for the Premier League side who are hoping to sign him on loan before Thursday night’s deadline with a view to a permanent £35m summer deal. The former Borussia Dortmund, Club Brugge and Wolfsburg man signed a new five-year contract at Inter in September 2017 to tie him to the Italians until 2022 but the World Cup star’s head will likely be turned by interest from the Londoners.
Perisic has scored 34 goals in 143 appearances for Inter and wanted Unai Emery to strengthen the club’s midfield.
However, Emery had said his team are only willing to make loan deals until the summer.
Arsenal are also eyeing the likes of Barcelona midfielder Denis Suarez and Christopher Nkunku of Paris Saint-German, as well as sign a defender on a temporary basis following injuries to Rob Holding, Hector Bellerin, Laurent Koscielny and Sokratis Papadopoulos in recent weeks.
