Manchester City play-maker, Bernardo Silva says he is ready to extend his contract with club despite reports of being eyed by Real Madrid.
Silva says he is a key man for the Premier League champions and there has been speculation Spanish giants Real could make a move for him.
The 24-year-old Portugal international has now moved to end any transfer talk as he says he has no interest in leaving the Etihad Stadium.
However, Bernardo Silva is under contract with City until 2022 and he is willing to extend his stay to help the club battle for silverware in the years ahead.
‘I’m OK right now, I still have three-and-a-half years left. I don’t know what will happen but we will see. I’m happy at City and if they want to renegotiate my contract then of course I’m open to doing that,’ said the former Benfica and Monaco star, as reported by the Manchester Evening News.
‘I’m very happy here at Man City – not only with the staff but I look around at my team-mates and it is a young team that can achieve fantastic things. To look at the future and think that if we stay together we can do special things, I am very happy here and want to stay.’
‘We have a very young squad with a lot of very good players and we will try to win as many things as we can over the next seasons’ he said.
