Burna Boy, a Grammy Award winner, has described the reception he received from the Rivers State Government as the greatest honor bestowed on him since he was born.
This was said by Burna Boy during his visit to Rivers State on Saturday.
Governor Nyesom Wike welcomed the musician, who recently won the Grammy Award for Best Global Album in the year 2021.
Burna Boy said, “I am deeply grateful and incredibly humbled by the reception and honour to be conferred on him by the Government of Rivers State.
“I am grateful to be in my current place. This is most likely the highest honor that has been bestowed on me since my birth. It’s one thing to win the Grammy and be celebrated all over the world; it’s another to be adored in your own house, which is worth more to me than anything else.”
Burna Boy appreciated Governor Wike for taking out time to honour him.
“I appreciate you my Governor for taking your time out to do this,” Burna added.
