The Special Forces Brigade killed 33 Boko Haram fighters in Chikingudu on Tuesday.

The Special Forces Brigade killed 33 Boko Haram fighters in Chikingudu on Tuesday.

Chikingudu is a village in Borno’s Marte Local Government Area.

The terrorists were killed in a gun fight with troops on a clearance mission in Missene, Hausari, and Chikungudu villages.

Two soldiers were killed, and seven others were injured to varying degrees.

Boko Haram insurgents used a variety of high-tech guns and vehicles, which were destroyed or recovered.

They contain, among other things, 25 AK-47 rifles, three anti-aircraft weapons, three general-purpose machine guns, two automatic grenade launchers (AGLs), and two gun trucks.

The troops are clearing the general area as well as other areas.
