Chelsea places life ban on a fan who used ‘racially abusive language’ during tie with Man City


Chelsea FC have handed a life ban to fan for abusive languageChelsea FC have handed a life ban to one of the clubs fans after he reportedly used a “racially abusive language” during their match against Manchester City at Stamford Bridge on 8 December 2018.

Police investigated claims City forward Raheem Sterling was racially abused by a member of the crowd during the match but the Crown Prosecution Service said there was insufficient evidence to proceed.

However, while a fan was found guilty of the said offense which attracted a live penalty five other Blues supporters have been temporarily suspended for “for the use of abusive language and threatening and aggressive behavior”.
