Man City offers €30m deal to Joao Felix to bid out United.

Manchester City are working to bid out rivals Manchester United on race to sign Benfica wonder-kid Joao Felix  with offer worth over £26million as they look tohave his signature this summer.

The young-star has emerged one of most sought after players following his successful campaign with Benfica with 20 goals and 11 assists for the Portuguese giants.

City and Manchester United are targeting the 19-year-old forward but are yet to meet his £105m release clause.

But according to Portuguese outlet Record, City have offered Felix staggering terms in a bid to bring him to the Etihad Stadium this summer.

It is claimed the Premier League champions are willing to pay him €30m (£26.6m) spread over five years.

Benfica president Luis Filipe Vieira had already said the only way the club will be able to keep hold of Felix next season is if they sell him with a view to loaning him back.

Vieira on Sunday informed Benfica’s board members that Felix’s head has been turned by the lucrative wages on offer in the Premier League.

And he is resigned to losing the club’s most valuable player, who did not feature for Portugal against Holland on Sunday in the UEFA Nations League final.
