Arsenal defender David Luiz has returned to training ahead of Thursday’s first leg of the Europa League semi-final against Villarreal.
Luiz hasn’t featured for Arsenal since the 3-3 draw against West Ham United in March. The north London side has conceded six goals in six games in the Brazilian’s absence while keeping only two clean sheets in the process.
The former Chelsea man has been on the sidelines nursing a knee injury he picked last month. He has been working hard to return to fitness since then and now is in line to face Villarreal.
The 34-year-old has been a regular for Arsenal this season when fit, but his long-term future at the club is still uncertain.
