Fortuna’s coach,Funkel admits Bayern were too good after 4-1 defeat

Fortuna’s coach, Friedhelm Funkel has said that Bayern Munich were too good a team for his side to withstand after they fell to 4-1 defeat on Sunday.

A brace from Kingsley Coman and also single goals from Serge Gnabry and Leon Goretzka,gave the Bundesliga leaders all points.

Consolation, however came from a late Dodi Lukebakio penalty, but Funkel refused to be downbeat after the game.

And the coach admitted Bayern were by far the better side;

”It has to be said clearly that we had no chance today,’ Funkel told reporters after the game.

”FC Bayern played very well, very concentrated and scored two early goals.

”Then it is not so easy for us to come back.

”The boys tried, but today we had no chance.

”Still, it’s a great day.

”We’ve certainly held our own, that’s terrific.

”That’s why I do not want to blame the boys today,said the Fortuna’s coach.
