Mr. Joel Dagwa, the commander of the North-Central Division, Federal Road Safety Corps, reported that two hundred and thirty-six people were killed in 365 road accidents in Niger State within nine months.
According to him, the accidents took place between January and September 2019.
Dagwa stated that 2,097 people were involved in the accident that left 1,303 victims critically injured.

The sector commander blamed the accidents on speeding, overloading and wrongful overtaking.
Therefore, he urged drivers to imbibe the practice of driving safely and value other road users, vowing to deal with road users who breach traffic regulations.
