Napoli boss Carlo Ancelotti says Marek Hamsik had plans to depart Naples in the summer after 11-years with the Partenopei, but decided to stay.
Hamsik ,31 is Napoli‘s all-time leading scorer with 121 goals, now close to securing a move to China and Ancelotti has confirmed Hamsik is in talks for an exit.
According to the manger, he would prefer Hamsik to remain with Napoli but he says the club will not deny him any move.
‘Hamsik? Let’s see what happens,’ he told Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli after Saturday’s 3-0 win over Sampdoria. ‘He wants to try a new experience. For what he has done for the club we don’t own any of the rights to say no. ‘We can only applaud him if it should happen. He’s been great. We do not have a replacement of Hamsik but our players who have been given guarantees to play in that role.’ Carlo Ancelotti added
