Zidane in face-off with Real Madrid over his son,Luca Zidane.
Real Madrid manager, Zinedine Zidane, has disagreed with the club board over his son’s, Luca Zidane place at the club as the board insists he is not going to make the second choice keeper next season, Marca reports.
Thibaut Courtois is Real Madrid first choice keeper with Zidane seeking a back-up goalkeeper, said Keylor Navas can leave the club this summer.
Zidane was told by club director, Jose Angel Sanchez and Juni Calafat, that they would have a first-choice goalkeeper and a young back-up next season.
And the Frenchman followed the club’s wishes, informing Navas his future lies elsewhere, in a meeting at their training ground last week.
But the plans to replace him with his own son, Luca, as his No.2 instead of youngster Andriy Lunin is what has brought a disagreement between him and the club chiefs.
Lunin is who the board had in mind to be Courtois’s understudy, with reports Luca could leave the club on loan to gain more experience.
But Zidane believes his son will be the ideal fit for the job.
