The Governor of Zamfara, Bello Matawalle, has said that Nigerians would be surprised to learn who was responsible for the kidnapping of over 300 students from Government Girls’ Secondary School in Jangebe on Friday.
Matawalle made this comment on Sunday, when 17 Emirs from around the State paid him a condolence visit.
Bandits abducted 27 students and 15 staff from Government Science College in Kagara, Niger State, almost two weeks prior to the Jangebe attack.
Bandits abducted passengers from a state transport service bus in Kundu village, also in Niger State, prior to the attack in Kagara.
“I want to tell you that there have been multiple discoveries in relation to the kidnapping of these students,” Matawalle said.
“Many people would be shocked to discover who was responsible for the kidnapping of these girls.
“They don’t like the strides I’m making as a result of my peace plan, and they’re doing whatever they can to undermine my efforts.”
