Reds still okay for outings without Virgil van Dijk-Klopp


Liverpool Manager,Jurgen Klopp says the Reds can still make good outings without Virgil van Dijk, but having him available against Manchester United is a good thing.

Virgil van Dijk being on suspension Dejan Lovren and Joe Gomez on injury forced Klopp to field a makeshift defence against Bayern Munich in the Champions League in midweek for a goalless draw.

The Dutchman will be available again when Liverpool pay visit to United at Old Trafford this afternoon.

Reacting to his return, Klopp says he is excited they played well without him in the Champion league even though it was a draw.

“The most important thing was that we didn’t miss him as much as, again, a lot of people expected us to miss him,’ Klopp said.

”We defend as a unit.

”But of course it’s really good to have him back and by the way, it’s the first time in I don’t know how many weeks that we have to make a choice between midfielders, full-backs, even centre-halves – if I think about Fabinho again.

”For us, that’s a good moment.’ He added
