Former Swansea defender Kevin Austin has died at 45 years after a long battle with pancreatic cancer.
Austin, who made 150 appearances for the Swans between 2004 and 2008, passed away on Friday after a year-long battle with pancreatic cancer.
During his time with the club, Austin won promotion from League Two in 2005 and was a part of Roberto Martinez’s League One-winning squad in 2008.
He also earned seven international caps for Trinidad and Tobago.
A Swansea statement expressed the club’s sadness as Austin’s passing.
According to the statement,“Everyone at Swansea City is desperately saddened to hear of the passing of former defender Kevin Austin.
