Spalletti speaks after sack, thanks Inter for giving him opportunity to coach



Sacked Inter boss, Luciano Spalletti has sent appreciation to the club and fans after he was relieved of his job, thanks President Steven Zhang for allowing him the privileges as coach.

The 60-year-old who joined from Roma in the summer of 2017 was on Thursday dismissed after leading the Nerazzurri to two successive Champions League qualifications in his two seasons without any trophy to his credit.

Spalletti broke silence over his job lost with emotional posts,thanking both the club’s hierarchy and fans.

”It’s not true that I was often the only one to take responsibility and step up, because you were always there! Strong fans strong destinies.

”Thank you for the 2,530,311 emotions #withoutstopping ”

The number was a reference to the record ticket sales that Inter had this season.

He further posted an image of him standing side by side with President Steven Zhang two years ago, when he first took the job.
