Transfer: Arsenal chance for Tierney boosted as Napoli quits race


Arsenal have been handed a go-get at Celtic captain, Kieran Tierney as Napoli boss Carlo Ancelotti declared no interest in the player.

Napoli had earlier showed interest in making a move for Tierney this summer.

But latest report now claims the ex-Chelsea chief Ancelotti insisted after Sunday’s 3-0 win over Liverpool at Murrayfield that, despite his admiration of the 22-year-old,he does not plan to have him anytime soon.

“Am I aware of Kieran Tierney? I know him and he is a really good player,” declared Ancelotti.

“He is a really good young left back but he is a Celtic player.

“We are looking for a lot of players for this coming season but he is a Celtic player and we have two good left backs.
